Marion and Lois Miller will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on May 31.
The couple was married in 1942 at the First Methodist Church in Topeka, Kan.
They reside on the west side of Indianapolis and have been members of the Speedway United Methodist Church since 1955.
Mr. Miller retired in 1985 from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors in Anderson, after 32 years of service.
Mrs. Miller was a volunteer for more than 50 years at the IMA. She has also enjoyed playing trumpet in the Indianapolis Municipal Band, the Oasis Orchestra, and the New Horizons Band in St. Petersburg, Fla.
The couple divides their time between their home in Indiana and their winter home in St. Petersburg.
They are the parents and in-laws of Jo Ann VanVoorhies and husband Bill of Indianapolis, Steve Miller and wife Linda of North Salem, and Ginny Sheikh and husband Mehrdad of Winter Springs, Fla. They are the grandparents of Beth Mitchell and husband Jace of Brownsburg, Michelle Orr and husband Chris of Brownsburg, Jim Miller and wife Beth of Pittsboro, Mike Miller and wife Dawn of Pittsboro, Eric Sheikh of Winter Springs, and Jason Sheikh and wife Brandy of Winter Springs. The Millers also have 10 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
The Millers will be honored at a family dinner to mark their anniversary.
